Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to share their criticisms for former Reds midfielder Jonjo Shelvey.
This comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account Anfield Edition shared a post on their page asking their fans to discuss Shelvey’s time at the club.
This post then gathered many replies from Liverpool fans who were eager to slate the midfielder for his performances during his time at Anfield.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans criticising Shelvey and his time at the club:
Legit premier league player just not good for LFC.

Terrible – and is still terrible … if only his effort matched his skill

The 27-year-old joined the Merseyside club in 2010 from Charlton (per Transfermarkt). Shelvey played in three Premier League campaigns for Liverpool between 2010 and 2013. In those three seasons, Shelvey made 47 appearances but only managed to score two goals and made just one assist (per Transfermarkt).
Now after a few years have passed, Liverpool fans have been reflecting on Shelvey’s time at the club.
Good thing he left. Not bad, no that good

Always thought he was a baller. But he was never consistent enough for us.

Never good enough

What do we think?
It seems as though not many Liverpool fans look back on Shelvey’s time at the club with any positivity.
One of Shelvey’s most famous moments in a Liverpool shirt came when he had a touchline clash with former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2012. Of course, given that arguably his most well-known moment at Anfield came in the form of an off-pitch argument with an opposition manager, that goes to show how much of a misfit Shelvey was at the Merseyside club.
