Liverpool fans on Twitter have been calling for the club to sign Heung-Min Son in the upcoming January transfer window.

This comes after Liverpool news Twitter account @LivEchoLFC shared a post on their official page that also contained an article from their website on Liverpool fan reactions to Mauricio Pochettino’s sacking at Tottenham.

The main reaction that this Twitter post focused on was Liverpool fans wanting to sign Spurs forward Son in January. The post was also captioned with the question of whether or not the transfer could happen.

This then led to a number of replies from Liverpool fans calling for the transfer to come true.

Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans wanting Son to sign in January:

It was announced on Tuesday night that Spurs had sacked Pochettino after five-and-a-half years at the North-London club.

With this news, some Liverpool fans saw this as an opportunity to set their eyes on a potential January transfer.

What do we think?

It’s understandable why some Liverpool fans want Son to sign for them in January given that he has been one of Spurs’ standout performers recently. The South-Korean, who is currently valued at £72 million, according to Transfermarkt, has made 15 appearances for the North-London club in all competitions so far this season, scoring eight goals and making four assists, with five of his goals coming in four Champions League appearances (per TransferMarkt).

If Son does sign for Liverpool in January, it would heat up the competition for a place in Klopp’s front three which includes Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Divock Origi.
