Liverpool fans on Twitter have been reacting to the possibility of Rafa Benitez joining rivals Everton as their potential new boss.
This comes after Liverpool news Twitter account @LivEchoLFC shared a post on their page asking their followers how they would feel on Benitez’s potential move to Everton.
This post also contained an article from the Liverpool Echo (08:47, 26/11/2019) about this latest update on Benitez.
This post then gathered many replies from Liverpool fans who claim they wouldn’t like to see their former boss join their Merseyside rivals.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans not wanting Benitez to manage Everton:
Well for sure I will not be happy and I hope he doesn’t take the job

He’d never take the job. He has a special relationship with Liverpool and would never go to Everton and tarnish that.

The Spaniard spent six years at Anfield, overlooking 350 games for the club, the most of any club he has managed in his career. Benitez is currently managing Chinese side Dalian Yifang in the Chinese league having left previous club Newcastle United in the summer (per Transfermarkt).
Now that he has been linked with a move back to the Premier League with Merseyside rivals Everton, some Reds fans are unsure of a potential England return for Benitez.
Rafa don’t lose your legendary status at LFC – do the right thing!

I would feel queasy if Rafa went to Everton…… He could certainly turn them around… He is a really good manager…. but would he go there??

Does he do small clubs?
— redwedge67 (@AnthonyWedgwood) November 26, 2019
Step down. Too big for Everton

What do we think?
Given the issues surrounding current Marco Silva at the moment, it’s understandable why this link with Benitez has been made. But some Liverpool fans clearly would not want to see their former Champions League-winning manager take over at Everton, with a move to Goodison Park possibly damaging his reputation with Reds fans.
