Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to express their opinions on a potential transfer for Tottenham striker Harry Kane.

This comes after Liverpool news Twitter account @LivEchoLFC shared a post on their official page that contained an article from their website. This article included a quote from Reds legend Steve Nicol speaking to ESPN (via Goal), in which he stated the club should try and sign Kane and Spurs team-mate Heung-Min Son.

This post then led to a number of Liverpool fans giving their opinions on a potential move for the Spurs duo.

Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans not wanting the club to sign Kane:

This speculation on the potential departure of the pair has come after Mauricio Pochettino was sacked by Tottenham Hotspur earlier in the week for Jose Mourinho to take over as the new boss at White Hart Lane.

But some Liverpool fans think Kane, who is currently valued at £135 million, according to Transfermarkt, would not be a good fit at Anfield under Jurgen Klopp.

What do we think?

Given that Kane has been one of the most consistent top Premier League scorers in recent years, it’s a surprise that some Liverpool fans would be against the potential signing of the Englishman.

But now that Jose Mourinho has taken over at Spurs, it appears as if the Reds have no chance of signing him, even if they wanted to, as the Portuguese boss wants to keep him.
