Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to respond to comments made from Kevin De Bruyne about Reds boss Jurgen Klopp.
This comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account @empireofthekop shared an article from their website that contained the Belgian’s comments on how he admires Klopp.
This tweet then gathered a number of replies from Liverpool fans who were imagining the idea of the City midfielder joining Liverpool.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans wanting De Bruyne to sign for Liverpool:
Just what we need for midfield but to be fair can’t complain anout our midfield everyone knows there job and are brilliant at it

Fantastic player.

One fan even described him as being similar to Steven Gerrard, with the comparison being drawn from the similarity in passing ability, which has seen De Bruyne produce 10 assists already this season.
His game is similar to Gerrard. Running with ball and make crazy passes

The Belgian also mentioned that Klopp wanted to sign him when he was in charge at Borussia Dortmund before De Brune made the move to City. The 28-year-old, who is currently valued at £117 million, according to Transfermarkt, played in the Bundesliga for Wolfsburg while Klopp was manager of fellow German side Dortmund.

What do we think?
It certainly would be unlikely of City to sell one of their best players to their closest rivals. De Bruyne currently has the most assists in the Premier League this season with nine in 11 appearances (per TransferMarkt). The midfielder has earned himself an average match rating of 7.77 according to WhoScored out of his 11 Premier League and three Champions League appearances.
