Liverpool fans have been gushing on Twitter over the unveiled plans for a bigger stand at Anfield.

This comes after Liverpool journalist James Pearce shared a post on his official page announcing the news of the club’s plans to add 7,000 extra seats to the new Anfield Road End.

This post then gathered many replies from Liverpool fans who were ecstatic with the news of Anfield’s new plans.

Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans reacting to the upcoming plans to their stadium:

The plans also reveal that the renovation would cost up to £60 million with money used from the club’s existing credit facility. Pearce also claimed that a public consultation process is now underway.

This news certainly went down well with some Liverpool fans who reacted to the news.

What do we think?

It seems with these plans to expand Anfield, Liverpool are following in the footsteps of Manchester City and Tottenham who have also undergone big stadium renovations in the past few years. More spectators at Anfield will only surely add to the already fantastic atmosphere at the ground for matches.

The Reds have become a force to be reckoned with under Jurgen Klopp in recent years – securing the Champions League trophy last season and remaining on course for the Premier League title in the current campaign, so it only makes sense to expand alongside the wave of success.
