Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to plead with the club to sign Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly in the summer transfer window.
This comes after Liverpool news Twitter account @LivEchoLFC shared a post on their official page of a video clip of Koulibaly and Virgil van Dijk hugging after their 1-1 draw at Anfield.
This post then led to a number of Liverpool fans replying with their wishes to see the Senegal centre-half join the Merseyside club next year.

Wednesday’s draw means that Jurgen Klopp’s side will need at least a point in their final Champions League group game against Red Bull Salzburg to secure their place in the last 16 of the competition. Both Koulibaly and Van Dijk played 90 minutes of the match, but it was a post-match embrace between the two defenders that got some Liverpool fans excited for a potential summer transfer.

What do we think?
The 28-year-old, who is currently valued at £67.5 million, according to TransferMarkt, is arguably one of the best defenders in world football, which is backed up by his team-mate, Raul Albiol’s statement.
It is understandable why some Liverpool fans would be drooling over a potential transfer for the Napoli man. The African player has averaged a 7.4 in the Champions League so far this season, which would put him third amongst the Liverpool side, ahead of the likes of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Fabinho.
A partnership that involves two strapping, world class central defenders would be frightening.
