Chelsea fans on Twitter have been sharing their admiration for ex-Blues defender Branislav Ivanovic.
This praise comes after Chelsea fan account @TheBlues shared a video of Ivanovic explaining his current side Zenit St. Petersburg’s match tactics, unaware he was being shown on the stadium’s big screens.
This funny video gathered a lot of positive replies from Chelsea fans who were quick to show their appreciation for their former full-back.
Here’s a sample of Chelsea fans showing love to Ivanovic:

The 35-year-old signed for Chelsea in 2008 from Lokomotiv Moscow for a fee of £10.8 million (per Transfermarkt), and went on to make 377 appearances for the West-London club, scoring 34 goals and making 34 assists along the way (per Transfermarkt). However, the right-back left Chelsea in 2017 to return back to the Russian League, this time with Zenit St. Petersburg.
Ivanovic’s recent mishap on the Zenit bench caused some Chelsea fans to remember what a superb player he was for the club.

What do we think?
Ivanovic’s funny escapade on the Zenit bench showed evidence of the humour that football can provide. It’s no surprise that because of this, Chelsea fans have been showing their appreciation for a player that picked up three Premier League titles, three FA Cups, one English Cup and one Champions League title (per TransferMarkt).
Perhaps a coaching role may be a possibility for the former Blues defender in the future.
