Some Celtic fans have no doubt that young Jeremie Frimpong will play for the senior Netherlands national team.
Frimpong, 18, recently made his debut for the Dutch Under-20s side and he played two games for his side in this international break. He started in a 4-1 loss to Czech Republic Under-20s and played 41 minutes of the loss to the French Under-20s side.
He played both those games at right-back – as he has for the Hoops this season. That is his preferred position and that’s where he played during his time with the Dutch Under-19s outfit as well.
Some Celtic fans are overjoyed and have no doubt that Frimpong will play for the Dutch senior side very soon.

Under Neil Lennon so far this season, Frimpong has already played three times in the Scottish Premiership. He has scored once and has a tally of one goal as well.
The youngster joined the club from Manchester City this past summer and his arrival was marked by the signature of Lee O’Connor from Manchester United as well. Neither of them had made a single first-team appearance for the two Manchester clubs.
But Frimpong did feature for the City Under-23s side before arriving at Parkhead. He had played three Premier League 2 games, assisting once. He had started all three of the games, playing one at left-back.
O’Connor, on the other hand, did make his senior Irish national team debut in this time’s international break, grabbing one assist against New Zealand.
Some other Hoops fans also hailed Frimpong for his Under-21s debut.
Well done son.

What do we think?
While Frimpong has done enough to impress many Celtic fans, he has to keep it going whenever more opportunities come aboard. As games come thick and fast, the Dutchman will likely get regular game time under Lennon too.
As far as the senior Dutch team go, they have 2-3 options at right-back. PSV’s Denzel Dumfries has played for them, while Joel Veltman played in that position against Northern Ireland recently. It will be tough for anyone to break into that side.
