Celtic fans have been showing their support on Twitter for Scott Brown, after the player tweeted his delight at Wednesday’s 2-0 win over St Mirren at Celtic Park.
The club captain limped out of the victory at 69 minutes with all three points already wrapped up, but told the media on Thursday that his withdrawal was only ‘a precaution’.
Before the game, he’d managed a full 90 minutes in both the hard-fought 2-1 triumph over Lazio in the Europa League and the superb 4-0 win at Aberdeen on Sunday.
Fans on Twitter were quick to thank their captain for his effort and commitment to the Bhoys.
Hows the hammy? Hope not too tight. Well done on your adjustment in playing styles under the different management

What do we think?
If Brown goes missing for Celtic, that’ll be bigger than any injury sustained to strikers. At 34-years of age, he may be in the twilight years of his career. But his form is showing no signs of slipping and he’s looking in terrific shape, which was why it was so worrying to see him limp off on Wednesday. Luckily, he’s aware of his limitations and Bhoys fans will be hoping their captain can maintain his form and fitness for a successful outing this Saturday’s Scottish League Cup semi-final against Hibernian.
