One of my most memorable AVFC moments was to tell my then 11 Yr old son that his favourite footballer had signed for his team. I’ll never forget the look of sheer joy on his face! We still love you Dion x

Dublin joined Villa from Coventry in 1998 for a fee of £7.74 million after spells at Norwich, Cambridge United and Manchester United earlier in his playing career (per Transfermarkt).
The now 50-year-old made more appearances for Villa than any other club he played for in his career. Indeed, he made 180 appearances for the Birmingham club in all competitions over the space of six years before making a move to Leicester in 2004. In his time at Villa, Dublin scored 50 goals and made just one assist (per Transfermarkt).
What a legend

What do we think?
The current football pundit and property presenter left a big impression on the Villa fans during his time at the club. He certainly earned the title of cult-hero with his 50 goals for Villa, and the amount of appreciation from Villa fans on this anniversary yesterday proves that.
