Wolverhampton Wanderers supporters have labelled Portuguese midfielder, Ruben Neves, as ‘priceless’ in the build-up to the January transfer window.

On Tuesday afternoon, the question was asked to the Old Gold supporters by Wolves Live, wanting to know what his value was in the current transfer market (as per Wolves Live).

The 22-year-old boasts a key role in Nuno Espirito Santo’s team (via The Telegraph), therefore, Wolves fans were reluctant to accept any price to part with their man.

The £45-million rated man has been a hit at Molineux over his two-and-a-half years with the club, registering 14 goals and six assists in 102 appearances (per Transfermarkt).

With a 6.69/10 average rating for the season so far (per Whoscored), it had been argued that the Portuguese midfielder had not been at his best (via Express and Star).

However, with a 9/10 in Wolves last outing (via Birmingham Mail), the 2-1 victory over Aston Villa, and bagging their first goal – Neves appears to be back to his old self.

Whilst discussing the potential cost of their man in the upcoming window, many fans ruled out the possibility of Neves leaving completely.

What do we think?

Wolves’ head of recruitment, John Marshall, has already stated that the 22-year-old will not be for sale in the upcoming window (via Express and Star), which will be music to Wolves supporters’ ears.

However, Neves is a growing fish and there is a risk he may outgrow the Molineux pond eventually – when the Old Gold faithful may have to consider a realistic price for their man.
