Wolverhampton Wanderers fans are divided in opinion over the potential signing of Nigel Lonwijk from PSV Eindhoven.
On Saturday, it was reported by a Dutch news outlet, Eindhovens Dagblad, that the Old Gold are set to sign the 17-year-old youngster from de Boeren this week, for a figure around the €220,000 mark (£170,918) (via Talking Wolves).
With the central defender of Dutch nationality, many were excited that he may be following in the footsteps of Liverpool gargantuan Virgil van Dijk, which could be down to the similarities in hairstyle.

Having featured predominantly for PSV’s Under-17s previously, the 17-year-old has been included on the Under-19’s bench on four occasions this term (via Transfermarkt).
While some were pleased to see Nuno Espirito Santo’s side investing in youth, others disputed between themselves over the singing of another youngster.

It is essential, more than ever, in the modern-day game to spot talent early – to prevent paying extortionate fees when youngsters come good.
So, if Wolves believe they have spotted big potential in Lonwijk, it would be a sensible option to pursue for €220,000 (£170,918) should he one day reach the first-team level.
