The West Ham United official Twitter account tweeted out ‘#HappyHallerween’ which many fans found ironic.

Sebastien Haller and the word ‘isolated’ seems to be flying around a lot these days, but the touch stats from the game against Sheffield United might leave some fans petrified.

The Frenchman managed to touch the ball just 29 times, but to put that into perspective, left-back Aaron Cresswell had 98 touches, which is over three times the amount the striker had, according to the data collected by Whoscored.

Somehow, the 25-year-old striker still has on average more shots than anybody else in the squad, with 2.1 per game.

Haller is West Ham’s top goalscorer so far, with the Frenchman managing to bag himself four goals this season, despite the lack of service he appears to have been receiving from his team-mates in recent matches.

What Do We Think?

Haller signed with West Ham for a fee of up to £45m, so they will be wanting to fix this issue as soon as possible, as goals also look a little hard to come by for Manuel Pellegrini’s side.

The fans seemed to have taken this in good spirits, but surely they’ll be having nightmares if the isolation problem continues. The formation is likely to be the issue, perhaps if the Hammers switched to a two-striker formation, their French giant will have more success and help fire the Irons up the Premier League table.
