After a rollercoaster week for Spurs, it seems as if they are close to another change within the staff, with Lille sporting director Luis Campos heavily linked with a move to the North London club.

According to Sky Sports, the 55-year-old spoke last month about how joining up with Mourinho at his next job would be a “no-brainer.” The sporting director is well-renowned for his work at Monaco between 2013-16 in which he helped establish household names such as Kylian Mbappe and Fabinho.

Campos and Mourinho are very close, with the Lille man describing the new Spurs boss as “like a brother to me” back in October. During his time with Lille, the French side have qualified for the Champions League and sold Nicolas Pepe to Arsenal in the summer for £72 million, so there’s certainly plenty of incentive to bring him in.

Reaction from Spurs fans to Campos’ potential arrival at the North London club can be seen in the tweets below.

These Spurs fans are clearly very excited about the possibility of Campos joining up with Mourinho and will be hoping that the duo’s friendship can prove a big factor in convincing the Lille man to make the move.

What do we think?

Campos has established himself as a top-quality sporting director in his work with Monaco and Lille, and could certainly be an exciting addition to the Spurs staff.

It would be interesting to see the sort of transfer funds Levy would allow Mourinho and Campos if they were to team up at the North London club and Spurs fans have every right to be excited about this one.
