Liverpool fans were full of praise for young midfielder Curtis Jones after he tweeted a picture of himself in training with Jurgen Klopp, with many fans suggesting that the 18-year-old is ready to make an impact in the first team.
Jones tweeted the picture of himself with the Liverpool boss, saying “learning every day” with the young midfielder having been promoted to the first-team in recent weeks. Jones made his debut for the senior side in an FA Cup fixture away at Wolves last season and won over the Anfield faithful this season when he scored the winning penalty in the shootout win over Arsenal in the Carabao Cup.
The 18-year-old, who is a product of the youth academy at Anfield, has been impressive for the Under-23s so far this season; with five goals and four assists in 10 appearances. His impressive goal contributions from midfield have clearly been noticed by the coaches at Liverpool and now fans feel as if Jones is ready to make a big impact for the senior side.
Reaction from Reds fans to Jones’ picture can be seen in the tweets below.

Liverpool fans clearly loved Jones’ post and feel as if it is only a matter of time before he can make an impact in the first-team.
What do we think?
Jones’ form in the Under-23s clearly shows he has a knack for scoring goals and his winning penalty against Arsenal showed all the evidence of a talented, confident young footballer.
Wit Adam Lallana possibly leaving in the summer with his contract set to expire at the end of the season, perhaps Jones will be gifted more chances in the future.
