Leicester City are flying high near the top of the Premier League table, sandwiched in between last season’s champions Manchester City and Jurgen Klopp’s unbeaten Liverpool.

Brendan Rodgers’ side were tipped by many to have a good season but there won’t have been many predicting their current position and that they would be crashing Pep and Klopp’s championship chasing party.

The Foxes are there on merit and can be confident in the knowledge they have a united, talented and focused squad but these supporters have been debating whether or not Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale would warrant a place in their starting eleven.

Indeed, a rumour has been floating around about Leicester potentially looking to take Gareth Bale on loan, but Leicestershire Live journalist Jordan Blackwell has stated that the rumour is ‘extremely unlikely’.

Here’s exactly what fans had to say:

What do we think?

Gareth Bale is one of world football’s biggest talents. His outstanding performances for Tottenham earned him an £85m move to Real Madrid in September 2013 and the Wales international has gone on to win the Champions League four times. The 30-year-old has contributed hugely to Real Madrid’s success of recent seasons but has fallen out of favour since.

The on-going feud between Bale, the Madrid supporters and coach Zinedine Zidane has seen him frozen out but unless somebody was to put a serious offer on the table for the £54m-rated-winger its unlikely he will be allowed to leave before his contract expires in 2022 – making this a very hypothetical debate.

But despite the current level of performance it’s difficult to argue Bale wouldn’t waltz straight into that side. He’s a special player with the ability to win a game on his own and there are very few teams who would turn down his services.
