Everton supporters have fumed over the latest report on Marco Silva, that suggests he will not be relieved of his duties at Goodison Park.
According to the Mirror, the Portuguese 42-year-old will retain his duties for the time being due to the club’s owner, Farhad Moshiri, being unable to find an immediate replacement (via Everton News Feed).
While it sounds sensible for the owner to not chase after a knee-jerk appointment, fans were furious that Silva would possibly be staying at the helm for the time being.
JOKE

This isn’t a new situation, it’s been going on for months. They shouldn’t need to rush into looking for replacement, they’ve had plenty of time all season to be looking given the season we’ve had. Screams incompetence this. Now look at them desperately scurrying around

While Silva had been under pressure for a number of months in Merseyside (as per BBC), following the 2-0 defeat to Norwich City on Saturday, reports of his impending sacking grew (via The Guardian).
Possible replacements of Eddie Howe, Mikel Arteta, David Moyes and Mark Hughes have all been touted (via Sky Sports), however, Moshiri, reportedly, does not think they are suitable replacements.
With the Portuguese gaffer’s sacking seeming inevitable, some supporters looked at the news with a different perspective, while still disappointed.
Let’s just make Tom Davies manager and go down with a bit of style and panache instead of this pathetic flapping around like a fish that’s been tossed on the dock and is being played with by a cat?

If this whole thing is a plan to lull Liverpool into a false sense of security before the derby, it’s worked a treat.

Moshiri should have nothing to do with this appointment other than asking Marcel Brands who he wants and then cutting the check to get Marcel’s man.

What do we think?
In the instant gratification obsessed society that we live in, it is understandable that the Goodison Park faithful want a decision made now and have a new man in place for the clash with Leicester City on Sunday.
However, a knee-jerk decision is what landed Sam Allardyce in Merseyside (per The Mirror) – and it feels as though Moshiri is taking a better, more thought-through, approach with his next appointment.
