Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira has told the club he wishes to be sold in January according to a report by Sky Italy’s Antonio Russo but it appears the Gunners are unwilling to sell him. Arsenal and the player’s representatives are said to be planning talks in the very near future which supports a report that emerged last week.
The 23-year-old’s Gunners’ career started promisingly but of late he’s been in and out of the team and has seen his role completely changed. The Uruguayan has previously spoken of the difficulties he has faced adjusting to life in the United Kingdom but it appears life on and around the pitch is also making the former Sampdoria player unhappy.
These supporters are adamant Unai Emery is to blame for the £49.5m-rated man wanting out.
Shocking , only decent Defensive Mid we have and Emery hardly uses him

This was coming . Torreira hasn’t been a regular in the Arsenal starting XI this season . I really hope that he stays in the club .

As long as Emery is here, he may as well leave. Not being used correctly whatsoever.

The @UnaiEmery_ bad effect have begin , I have said this before and I will say it again @Arsenal will have more to lose leaving @UnaiEmery_ as manager than sacking him .
So the earlier @Arsenal Sack this Clueless manager the better it will be for us @Arsenal— KroenkeOut & EmeryOut (@iam_henrico) November 13, 2019
What do we think?
Torreira has only started in 33% of the club’s Premier League fixtures this season and when he has played he’s been asked to operate in a more advanced position – a role that many feel the player is unsuited to.
When the Uruguayan arrived he was best known for his work in front of the Sampdoria defence with his ability to sense danger and dogged-nature regarded as two of his best attributes. Perhaps the lifestyle in the United Kingdom is a contributing factor to the player’s stance, it’s a constantly developing situation and one the Arsenal fans will be no doubt keeping a close eye on in the coming weeks.
