Good news at Manchester United is something that appears hard to come by.
The Old Trafford side are currently 12th in the Premier League after eight games and their next clash is at home against top of the table Liverpool, a game they go into without Paul Pogba or David De Gea, according to Sky Sports.
However, United fans do have some good news to celebrate. As Manutd.com have confirmed that the club’s young left-back, Brandon Williams, has signed a new contract with the club until 2022, a move that comes just under a month after the youngster made his debut off the bench in the Carabao Cup against Rochdale (BBC).

The news of the youngster extending his contract is obviously something worth getting excited about amongst the Red Devils faithful.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has taken charge of United 40 times across both his caretaker and permanent stints in the job, yet he’s still managed to give the likes of Williams, Mason Greenwood, Angel Gomes, Tahith Chong and James Garner their debuts.
These academy guys is the only good thing about the club these days, looking forward to watch his progress. Well deserved.

Good young full back the will push Shaw for the left back position, he can also do a job at right back if we were stuck as he’s played a lot of games there with the under age sides

Some Manchester United fans, though, have gone further than just getting excited about Williams and have even gone as far as to call for the youngster to be called into action on the weekend against Liverpool.
The Sky Sports report talking of De Gea and Pogba’s absence also claimed that Luke Shaw isn’t guaranteed to be back, which may put Williams one step closer to the senior side.
