Helping his team beat Sunderland by keeping a clean sheet was probably the only thing on Mahlon Romeo’s mind on the weekend. But after the game, the right-back would likely have been reminded that the win marked his 150th career appearance for Millwall.

In that time, the player has scored three goals for the club and registered five assists (transfermarkt.co.uk). When the club tweeted the announcement of the player’s new milestone, Lions fans showed their support for the player. One fan even compared the right-back to Liverpool ace Trent Alexander-Arnold, although it’s likely there was a hint of irony involved.

Another fan recalls the defender’s debut, in which he scored a goal in the team’s 3-0 win against Walsall.

What do we think?

The milestone will likely mean little to the player as he shifts his focus toward Reading on the weekend. And at the young age of 24, Romeo has a long career ahead of him at the London club.

Indeed, the Antigua and Barbuda international has been in superb form for Millwall this season in the Championship, as he leads the club’s charts in regards to tackles per game (2.7) whilst he also manages two clearances per match as well (per WhoScored).

If he can keep that form up with Gary Rowett now in charge, the Lions will surely be pretty excited to see him hit his next milestone at The Den.
