Celtic fans were full of appreciation for the debut of new left-back Greg Taylor after the player made his first full start for the club in Wednesday’s 2-0 win over St Mirren at Celtic Park.
The 21-year-old has had to wait a month for his first Bhoys appearance due to the form of regular left-back Boli Bolingoli, but it was worth the wait as Celtic collected all three points on the night.
The former Kilmarnock man, who turns 22 next week, moved to Parkhead in the summer following the departure of Kieran Tierney to Arsenal.
Fans on Twitter were quick to congratulate the player after the game.
Fantastic debut Greg fitted into the side and system as if you had always been there. Best of luck for the rest of the season

What do we think?
Greg Taylor will be cup-tied for Saturday’s trip to Hibernian in the Scottish League Cup so it remains to be seen as to whether he can push on from this debut. They then travel to Lazio the following Thursday so he may have to be patient for another appearance in a Hoops shirt. That said, he looked comfortable at Celtic Park and Boli Bolingoli will definitely be looking over his shoulder as they compete for that one left-back spot.
