Fans of Wolverhampton Wanderers took to Twitter on Wednesday night with split opinions over an injury to Morgan Gibbs-White.
The 19-year-old midfielder, Gibbs-White, missed Wolves’ Carabao Cup clash with rivals Aston Villa.
With The Athletic journalist Tim Spiers on-hand to provide fans with an update from the manager, with some supporters confused as to what their Portuguese gaffer actually meant.
Clear as mud.

in his back.It’s poetry.

While Gibbs-White has made ten senior appearances for Espirito Santo’s side this term already (per Transfermarkt), some fans are not convinced with the 19-year-old’s talents.
With the injury to the Englishman keeping him out of the trip to Villa Park last night, some supporters were, surprisingly, relieved to hear Gibbs-White was sidelined.

The knife of whoever told him he’s ready for first team football

He isn’t really missed to be honest

Throughout his Wolves career the midfielder has made 64 appearances for the senior team, scoring one and assisting one over that duration (via Transfermarkt).
While some supporters took joy from their own player’s injury, others were more sympathetic to the 19-year-old’s situation.
It’s the fans on it

What do we think?
Morgan Gibbs-White is a young footballer learning his trade at the very highest level in English football, therefore it feels harsh for supporters to have such callous feelings towards the youngster.
Gibbs-White has had a much-talked-about loan move away from Molineux and perhaps that would be best for all parties.
