West Ham United fans are livid with former manager Sam Allardyce’s TalkSPORT comments about the Granit Xhaka incident.
When speaking with Laura Woods on TalkSPORT, Allardyce had this to say about Sunday’s incident:
“Without any question of a doubt you’d discipline Xhaka.”
“Gesticulating to the fans is the one thing you cannot do. It’s irresponsible.”
“He has to go out in the next game and perform like never before.”
Many West Ham fans felt the comment were hypocritical, given that the 65-year-old reacted to fans booing him, in a similar fashion in a 2-1 win against Hull back in 2015.
After that game against Hull Allardyce said: “I’ve never been in a place where I’ve won and got booed,” – BBC Sport.

Allardyce cupped his ear to the fans when we beat Hull 2-1 and we Boo’d because it was so bad. He’s such a hypocrite.

Sam Allardyce was the Hammers manager from 2011-2015, where he gained promotion back to the Premier League.

Yeah mugging off your own paying fans; you’d never do that would you Sam?

Is Big Sam forgetting when he did it to West Ham fans? Shame on you “woodsy” for not doing your homework and asking him that!!

What Do We Think?
This could have been a genuine mistake from Allardyce given his incident happened in 2015, but this still isn’t a good look for him, especially with the West Ham fans clearly not forgetting about what he did whilst in charge of them.
There’s really no way out of this for the former England manager, as an apology is unlikely to even happen let alone affect, how the Hammers fans feel about him.
