Fans of Everton have taken to Twitter to air their nerves following the draw for the next round of the Carabao Cup.
Marco Silva’s Toffees beat Watford 2-0 at Goodison Park on Tuesday to secure passage to the quarter-finals of the competition, however, were concerned over the calibre of opposition drawn on Wednesday night.
The quarter-final Carabao Cup draw, which almost took place in space, saw Everton awarded with another home tie – although this time against Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City (via Leicester Mercury).
Silva and his team have not yet come up against the midlands club this term (per BBC), however, with the Foxes flying high in the Premier League table, Everton supporters were dreading the clash.

The Merseyside club have found consistent form difficult to come by this season, with only three Premier League wins to their name in ten outings and sitting sixteenth in the table (per BBC).
With pressure mounting on club gaffer, Silva, many speculated that their 42-year-old Portuguese manager may not see the draw be carried out in mid-December.

What do we think?
While the Merseyside club have the means to be performing better than they are, having been predicted to break into the ‘big six’ this season (per The Guardian) – the Foxes are in electric form.
Having just hit Southampton for nine (via The Guardian), confidence will be riding high at the King Power Stadium and should the Toffees surpass to the semi-finals, then it would be a fantastic result.
