Everton fans have called on Marco Silva to give Anthony Gordon his chance in the Toffees first-team set-up.

Following the youngster’s goal for the club’s Under-23s against PSV Eindhoven in the Premier League International Cup, supporters took to Twitter to plead the 18-year-old’s case.

With Gordon having trained with the first team in recent weeks (per Liverpool Echo), many supporters were itching to see the Englishman take the next step to match action.

The attack-minded midfielder has featured in seven Premier League 2 matches this season for the Toffees Under-23s, scoring five and assisting two over those games (per Transfermarkt).

Here’s what other fans had to say:

What do we think?

With pressure mounting on the man in the Everton hot seat (as per BBC), Marco Silva, he will ignore the appeasement of the fanbase at his own peril.

While it may have been forgotten to the sands of time, Gordon has, in fact, already made his first-team debut during the 2017/18 season, which came in Europe. The 18-year-old is already in and around the first team and his recent form is surely too good to ignore, so it’s now up to Marco Silva to make the call.
