Aston Villa fans have praised centre-half Ezri Konsa after he made his home debut in yesterday’s 2-1 win over Wolves in the Carabao Cup fourth round clash.
This praise has come as a result of Konsa posting a tweet on his official Twitter page, seemingly delighted with making his home debut at Villa Park.
Here’s a sample of Villa fans showing their appreciation for the 22-year-old:
Great debut. Class act.

Yesterday’s cup victory was Konsa’s fourth appearance for Villa so far this season. His previous three have all been away from home (per Transfermarkt). Konsa has played in every single Carabao Cup fixture so far this season for Villa, the 6-1 victory over Crewe Alexandra in the second-round clash in August, in which he scored a goal, the 3-1 win over Brighton in the third-round and yesterday’s fourth-round win over Wolves (Transfermarkt).
Solid performance

What do we think?
Of course, many Villa fans will surely agree that it’s great to see a young Englishman get his chance and do so well on his home debut. It will be even sweeter for those fans that yesterday’s win came against Birmingham rivals Wolves (BBC Sport). If Konsa can keep delivering these good performances in the Cup, then Villa manager Dean Smith could potentially take a chance and give the young defender an opportunity to show what he can do in the Premier League.
