Joe Willock has come under fire in recent weeks. The 20-year-old was substituted at half-time in consecutive games versus Sheffield United and Vitoria S.C. having failed to make an impact but his sensational strike at Anfield on Wednesday night has seen faith restored in the young Englishman.
Willock, who is valued at £9 million (as per Transfermarkt), scored the Gunners’ fifth goal, an incredible curling effort from long range that found it’s way into the top corner to send the away section at Anfield into pandemonium. The club, via their official Twitter account, described the goal as a “thronker” but how did supporters on social media react to the youngsters wonder-strike?
What a terrific goal, totally deserved it, glad for Joe. Hope it helps him to get some confidence back ?

What do we think?
Willock’s stunning goal was worthy of winning any game but unfortunately, it wasn’t to be for the Arsenal. The youngster has had a difficult time in recent weeks despite showing great promise earlier on in the season but interestingly, his dip in form has coincided with some poor team performances and so that must be taken into consideration.
Scoring at Anfield of all places will have done the young midfield player’s confidence the world of good and could provide him with the perfect way to bounce back after questions were beginning to be asked of him.
