No one is doubting how talented Paul Pogba is at Manchester United.
The Frenchman is an incredible midfielder and has got all of the talents to score and assist as well as getting his hands dirty and helping out his side defensively, and Henry Winter has published an article in The Times lauding the ability of the World Cup winner.
In a total of 100 Premier League appearances so far in his career, Pogba has managed 24 goals and 25 assists (Transfermarkt) – just under one goal involvement every other game.
However, the impressive stat is that 33 of those 100 games have come with Pogba playing out of position (Transfermarkt) and he’s still returning incredible numbers.

The fans are loving that their key man is getting some praise from the media, especially given how often Pogba is lambasted for not doing enough out on the football pitch, and they’ve been happily getting involved, raving over their star man on Twitter in response to the article.
Exactly people expect him to play like Juventus Pogba even tho he’s being used completly wrong with the talent he got.

Doesn’t get half the credit he deserves

Preach “better” players have worse stats and get hailed as successes

However, a lot of fans have gone one further, and have gone deeper into the fact that Pogba is underappreciated. They’ve been left frustrated by the fact that their misfiring forwards have been costing Pogba since he made his £89m return to Old Trafford back in summer 2016 (BBC).
Should realistically be about 50 assists if our players could finish
— Erikas (@_Erikxs_) October 15, 2019
But where is the number of clear goal scoring chance that pogba create but not finished buy the other players

Who would have about 50 assists by now if we had strikers
— Joe (@Okore0) October 15, 2019
Need better strikers. He would easily get 50 assists

Not to mention the amount of chances Zlatan, Lukaku and Rashford have wasted of him over the years
— Ravindra (@Thatboyrave) October 15, 2019
It’s not just his fault. Rashford misses lots and I mean ‘lots’. Lindgard and Martial should have produced far far better stats with the talents they have. Even De Gea has started making clangers.
