Tottenham fans far and wide will have loved the recent international break.
Not only did it give them all a chance to get away from watching their club side for a week, but it’s given the likes of Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon more time to recover from their injuries – fans can catch the latest injury news on Football.London.
However, as Spurs’ next clash comes into sight, a weekend home match against struggling Watford, the club’s official Twitter account put out a tweet looking back at this fixture last season, a fixture in which Fernando Llorente scored a late winner for the Lilywhites to secure a 2-1 win (BBC), and the big Spaniard was the focus of the fans.
International break:
Watford (H): @llorentefer19 scored a dramatic late winner when we last faced The Hornets at home! #THFC #COYS pic.twitter.com/YQXh2Iqne0

Llorente was released at the end of last season (Premierleague.com) and it was a decision that did not go down well with the fans at the time given the striker’s impact in 18/19 as he scored eight and assisted five, and a lot of fans are re-visiting that now, reminiscing over the big man and wishing he still played for them.
Sign him back

We never appreciated him. He was superb at times. Thank you @llorentefer19

There is a group of Spurs fans, though, who haven’t got involved in the Llorente love-in and have instead realised the comparisons between how badly they were playing during the last win at home to Watford and how they’re playing now, and are understandably frustrated with their club, the way they’re playing and the results.
A convincing win, though, could well change the scene amongst these fans…
Remember we used to cross the ball in? No I can’t remember either..

Good times when Rose could cross the ball and all that
