Liverpool are in one of the healthiest positions they’ve been in for years.
The Reds are European Champions and hold an eight-point lead at the top of Premier League after just eight games. Jurgen Klopp’s side is full of talent both young and old, with some of the club’s younger stars out on-loan, including 20-year-old Ben Woodburn.
It’s been almost three years since the young Welsh forward scored against Leeds in November 2016 to become the club’s youngest ever goalscorer (The Guardian).
Since then, though, his career hasn’t taken off in the same way the fans thought it would as he’s only managed 11 appearances for Liverpool, prompting the question of whether or not he’ll make it at Anfield in the long term.
Happy birthday to #LFC‘s youngest ever goalscorer Ben Woodburn I think the lad may have a future at the club, but it’s going to take some serious graft, what do you all think? pic.twitter.com/cBvm3Ao0gr

The tweet above from Empire of the Kop prompted the discussion amongst the Kopites, and some of the Reds are confident that despite a rough patch, the Welshman will come through it and become a player who can be relied upon by Jurgen Klopp and any future Liverpool gaffer, pointing out that he’s still only 20-years-old and has loads of years left in him.
He’s only 20 Jesus I feel like he scored that goal about 10years ago

Time to give kids like Woodburn and Wilson a proper chance.
We owe Origi a lot, but we need better attacking options from the bench.— Stuart Maginnis (@stuart_maginnis) October 15, 2019
A lot of other fans, however, aren’t quite as patient and haven’t got faith in the on-loan attacker making it at Anfield.
So far this season they’ve watched on as Woodburn has scored once and assisted four for Oxford United in League One during his current loan spell, as per Transfermarkt, and those aren’t stats that have got the Reds jumping out of their seats, leading to their calls that the starlet isn’t going to make it.
I don’t see it. A solid career in the championship is the best he can hope for.
