New Balance have released their design for Celtic’s new third kit, as confirmed via the brand’s official Twitter account.
The new design is a somewhat unorthodox affair, boasting a silvery grey shirt embossed in shocking pink and boasting a striking chevron pattern across the midriff.
As far as new strips go, it is a bold choice, and it’s fair to say that thus far, it has proven to be a wholly unpopular concept amongst the Parkhead faithful.
Hail, hail. A modern new look for the Celts.

It’s almost impressive how unanimously this shirt has united Celtic fans.
Kit launches are usually matters of taste that spark discussion and some gentle debate, but this humdinger of an offering from New Balance might just be the most universally maligned effort of the summer.
It’s strange too because, on the whole, the American brand have a pretty decent track record. Their work with Liverpool over the past few years, for example, has been fantastic – simple, classy, and stylish.
This new offering for Celtic is none of those things.

An abomination ??????

Fans are up in arms, and understandably so.
The only saving grace, if there is one, is that it is an alternate kit.
Third shirts are rarely utilised, and when they are, it’s nice to have a bit of novelty.
They don’t come much more novel than this.
