Rangers enjoyed their best season in some time in the last Scottish Premier League campaign, pushing Celtic all the way in an effort that meant nothing as their fierce rivals won their eighth consecutive title.

Steven Gerrard brought back the good times to Ibrox in his first full season at the Light Blues and even secured two Old Firm victories as he delivered some joy to the Blue half of Glasgow.

One of the benefits of having Gerrard in charge was his link to former club Liverpool. This connection led to the loan signing of Ryan Kent and the 22-year-old certainly disappoint in Scotland.

The 5’7″ winger [Source: Transfermarkt] enjoyed a great season, scoring six goals and assisting the same amount in his 23 league appearances, with Gerrard keen to re-sign the 22-year-old.

Much to Rangers’ dismay, it appears that Kent has set his sights on a move to England, with reputable football outlet, Football Insider, claiming that Leeds United have made an offer to take the youngster on-loan for next season.

The Sun journalist Alan Nixon has revealed on his personal Twitter account that a move to England is much more likely this summer for Kent.

Despite Rangers trying to complete their summer business quickly, this would be a real loss before the new campaign has started after Kent proved himself as an integral part of the Gers’ side.
