COMMENTARY
Some Aston Villa fans all jumped to the same conclusion that Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe wouldn’t be returning for another spell at the club anytime soon after his latest Instagram post. The 21-year-old defender took to his personal Instagram account on Thursday in order to post a series of pictures from his 2018/19 loan spell at Villa along with the caption “Thank you for a memorable season”, and it seemed to be his way of saying goodbye. At least that’s what the section of Villa fans believed below. Several directly said their goodbyes, with one saying they were gutted but not surprised, while others just shared memes and gifs to represent that they were crying over the post as they were assuming what it meant. The 21-year-old was a vital part of Dean Smith’s side in their promotion-winning season as he featured 30 times across all competitions. Tuanzebe proved himself to be a reliable centre-back and it’s a shame that he seems to be hinting that he won’t return to the club anytime soon.

By the looks of Tuanzebe’s post on instagram, it doesn’t look like he will be staying at #avfc this season. Thank you for all your efforts over the last two seasons, definitely going to be a top class defender ? pic.twitter.com/wD4oQYTsZq

Best of luck Axel. I think he’ll be a bigger miss than a lot of fans realise. ? https://t.co/7Kq0oWtLJa
