Danny Rose wants to stay at Tottenham and is willing to sign a new contract if one is offered to him, according to the Independent.

The news outlet claims that Spurs need to make a decision on the future of the 28-year-old left-back now that he is in the final two years of his contract with the North London club.

However it is understood that Rose is keen to stay on with Tottenham, despite him previously hitting out at Daniel Levy underpaying players at the club and being linked time and time again with Manchester United.

OPINION

Rose’s career with Tottenham appeared to be all but over when he broke ranks and lashed out at Levy for his lack of spending, but since then the left-sided defender has quietly gotten better and better and is now finding himself as one of the best players in Mauricio Pochettino’s squad. Rose was one of Spurs’ best players in the Champions League final on Saturday and if Pochettino can keep the England international around then it would be a great move for all parties because the left-back wants to stay put in North London. Rose is not someone who is irreplaceable but he is a lot better than his competition at left-back Ben Davies. As Rose is in the last two years of his contract, Spurs will have to sell him in one of the next few transfer windows, to avoid losing him for nothing, or get him tied down to a new deal. As Rose turns 29 next month, his transfer value is not going to get much higher than it currently is. Spurs have a tough decision to make.
