Aston Villa defeated West Bromwich Albion 2-1 on Saturday but many Aston Villa fans still found a reason to be frustrated on social media despite the result. Defeating WBA in the first-leg of their Championship play-off semi final puts the pressure on WBA to rack up a win at the Hawthorns on Tuesday in order to continue their path to the Premier League. The Villans would have been hoping to make home advantage count on Saturday and they did just that. However one Aston Villa player didn’t do enough on Saturday and that was Albert Adomah. The 31-year-old was hauled off with about 20 minutes to go but you would have been forgiven if you didn’t realise he was playing. It was no coincidence that the Villans started playing better once Adomah had left the field. As one Villans fan said below, it did appear if the referee ran more than him and that shouldn’t be the case in any match, but especially an important one.
