Paris Saint-Germain attacker Timothy Weah sent Celtic a message on Instagram to congratulate them on another successful season.

The 19-year-old forward, who spent some of his 2018/19 season on loan at the Hoops, used his Instagram story to send the Scottish club a nine-word message to congratulate the club’s fans and players.

Weah also pledged his loyalty to the Scottish side by ending his message by saying “always a Celt”.

“Congrats to the club – players -fans, always a Celt,” wrote Weah.

OPINION

Weah is no doubt in the hearts of Celtic supporters despite his recent loan spell not going according to plan. The teenager only managed to make 17 appearances for the club after joining on a temporary basis in January from PSG, and most of his outings were made from the bench. Despite Weah having pace, power and an eye for goal; it just wasn’t enough to see him consistently feature. However whenever he pulled on the Celtic jersey he gave his all and worked hard for the team. While that is expected of every player, some footballers often don’t give 100% when things are going against then. Hopefully Weah is successful in life after Celtic as he clearly has all the skills needed to be a real success in the game. Also who knows, perhaps the attacker will one day feature again for the Scottish giants as he clearly thinks highly of the club based on his latest social media post.
