Chelsea attacker Christian Pulisic took to Instagram to wish Newcastle United defender DeAndre Yedlin a speedy recovery after the right-back shared a post-surgery pic.
The Magpies defender revealed on his personal Instagram account that he had undergone surgery to repair a groin injury, according to Newcastle’s official website, and that it was now time to recover.
“Surgery complete, Now time to recover,” said Yedlin on his verified Instagram account.

Yedlin received several messages of support following him sharing that he had undergone surgery and one of his fellow professional to send him a message was Pulisic.
“Speedy recovery bro,” wrote the Chelsea-owned winger on his verified Instagram account.

Pulisic may have only sent Yedlin a three-worded message by it was still nice to see the Magpies’ defenders international teammate wishing him well. The 20-year-old winger is currently out on loan at Borussia Dortmund as after joining Chelsea in January he was sent straight back out on loan. It will be interesting to see how Pulisic fares in the Premier League and he will no doubt seek Yedlin’s advice about how to cope with the demands of English football. While the 25-year-old hasn’t had the best of campaigns this season, as his form has been erratic, there’s no denying he knows how to succeed in the Premier League. Yedlin has made 87 appearances in the Premier League and will be a wealth of experience for Pulisic to call upon if he struggles at Stamford Bridge. However maybe the Magpies star won’t want to help him too much in case he ends up being tasked with stopping him next season when the Blues face Newcastle.
