Michael Owen has predicted a 2-2 draw in the massive Champions League semi-final clash between Liverpool and Barcelona tonight.

Talking on the BetVictor Twitter account Owen said, “What a glamour tie we have, Barcelona at home to Liverpool in the Nou Camp. It’s going to be a great game, surely there’s going to be lots of goals.

“Some people are saying Barcelona aren’t the force they were but they are careering to an easy win in La Liga.

“I think this game is a toss of a coin and it could go either way. Liverpool won’t fear going to the Nou Camp and I think there’s going to be lots of goals. I’m going to go for a 2-2 draw.”

OPINION

Liverpool fans, the players and Jurgen Klopp would take this at the drop of a hat and a 2-2 draw would give them a massive chance of getting to the Champions League final. It’s a classic match in the making, with Liverpool enjoying a sensational season – by far the best under Klopp – and Barcelona perhaps not as dominant as they once were. However, they’ve got Messi and these are the sorts of games everyone wants to watch… Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane against Messi and the other Barca superstars. As far as neutrals go it’s probably the game of the season so far and we hope there will be goals. 2-2 isn’t a bad shot actually and while it would leave the tie wide open, it would leave Liverpool as the big favourites to progress. In the other tie, Ajax are the team most likely to be the opponents in the final after a 1-0 win away at Tottenham.
