OPINION
Dwight Gayle has been incredible while on loan at West Brom in the Championship this season so it is no surprise to see that some Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to urge their club to sign the Newcastle United striker. Gayle, 28, has scored 24 goals in 41 appearances across all competitions for the Baggies this season, helping them to seal a spot in the play-offs. Every team in the Championship should be wanting a striker like Gayle, who is such a proven goalscorer in the second-tier of English football. If Leeds signed Gayle last summer instead of West Brom, would they already be promoted by now? They probably would because his goals have really helped West Brom on their way to a fourth-placed finish this term. Leeds fans have every right to want the £40,000-a-week [Spotrac] ace from Newcastle in the summer, but will Marcelo Bielsa want him? He’s very particular about the players he wants in his side.

A bit of a pipe dream, but I'd love to see Dwight Gayle at Elland Road next season. Imagine him under Bielsa? He'd have scored 30+ on his own this season. Sell Jansson and Bamford to get him, and keep Phillips, Shackleton and Clarke at all costs. #lufc #MOT
