Leeds United have opened talks to sign Forest Green midfielder Reece Brown, according to Football Insider, and the 23-year-old would be a very good buy.

Brown moved to Forest Green following his release from Birmingham City in 2017 and has become a revelation for the League Two outfit.

The 23-year-old, who was named in the League Two team of the year last season, is out of contract this summer.

Brown scored 11 and assisted 15 for Forest Green last term and his talents are now getting the recognition they deserve.

The midfielder is blessed with having impressive passing ability and excellent balance. His performances this season have showcased his ability and Leeds would be completing a smart piece of business by bringing him to Elland Road.

The move is one which carries no risk and will not demand a fee due to his contract expiring. Brown fits the mould in terms of the way in which Bielsa’s Leeds play – he is exceptional with the ball at his feet and looks an accomplished midfielder when he’s in possession.

Although, Brown’s attitude played a big factor at Birmingham. His effort was often criticised and he was ultimately let go of as a result.  Marcelo Bielsa will expect the very best from all of the players he brings to the club.

Manchester City were interested in Brown in 2014 and as an 18-year-old, he looked set to have a glistening future ahead of him.

If Brown can replicate his form and impress for Leeds, his value could rocket.
