Daniel Levy cannot hesitate to act in Tottenham’s pursuit of Fulham flyer Ryan Sessegnon as it seems Juventus reportedly won’t wait around to make their move.

According to the Daily Express, Spurs will be competing with Juventus in a £40million battle for the Fulham teenager in the summer with the player certain to leave Craven Cottage after the club’s relegation.

The national newspaper claim that Juventus, who reached this season’s Champions League quarter finals, will make a bid for Sessegnon as they want to add fresh blood to their ageing team.

Given that the Italian giants are definitely going to act in their pursuit and will be an appealing prospect for the Fulham player due to their status in world football, Spurs cannot afford to mess around if they truly want him.

Juventus are unlikely to be put off by Fulham’s £40million demand for Sessegnon and it would be no surprise if they instantly matched that price tag to get a deal in motion as it’s not like they can’t afford to do that.

Levy has always been known to be a tough negotiator and while that can sometimes work in Spurs’ favour, it can also cause an issue.

The Spurs chairman needs to be aware that acting slowly and trying to bargain with Fulham, could end up making the London club miss out on getting Sessegnon’s services.

The 18-year-old winger has scored twice and assisted six goals in 35 outings for Fulham this season and that’s rather impressive.

While some would be expecting his numbers to be higher; when you consider his age, the fact he was playing in a struggling team, had to put up with being played out of position, it’s actually amazing that he has got numbers that high.

This means Tottenham could benefit from having Sessegnon on board and as a result need to ensure they move fast to beat Juventus after this report.
