Everton are keen on signing Chelsea attacker Tammy Abraham, according to Football Insider.

The reliable football outlet claim that the Toffees have set their sights on the 21-year-old forward as they’re looking to recruit young and hungry players who have the potential to make a big impact in the Premier League.

Football Insider claim that the Toffees have been regularly watching Abraham this season while he has been on loan at Aston Villa, however they add that Chelsea are less likely to consider selling the forward if they fail to overturn their transfer ban.

Good move for Everton?

Yes, the Toffees need a forward and Abraham could be a good option for them to take.

The 21-year-old has been in tremendous form for the Villans this season as he has been involved in getting 28 goals for them.

Abraham has scored 25 of them personally, while assisting three, in his 37 appearances.

While the forward previously struggled to be regularly among the goals in the Premier League when on loan at Swansea City, he does seem to have improved since then.

Likely to happen?

It seems the Toffees’ chances rest on whether Chelsea have their transfer ban overturned.

It’s understandable that the Blues would opt to keep Abraham if they’re not allowed to sign any new players in the next two windows, as they need to boost their own firepower.

Chelsea’s forwards haven’t been in the best form this season, and they can’t wait two windows to try and improve upon their current options.

Also while the Toffees are clearly keen on Abraham, depending on his potential price, it could see them check other more proven options if he proves to be too steep.
