Vinnie Jones sent Leeds United fans a message to assure them he would be rooting for the Whites to beat Aston Villa on Sunday.
The former Leeds United player upset some Whites supporters on Twitter after celebrating Sheffield United edging closer to winning promotion from the Championship on Saturday.

“Get in there you beauty ‘You fill up my senses’,” wrote Jones via his Twitter account.
“What a season, congratulations to everyone involved.”
However after seeing the negative reaction, mostly from Leeds fan, Jones quickly reacted to tell Twitter to chill out as he’d still be cheering Leeds on against Villa and told everyone to take a deep breath.

“Chill out Twitter I’ll be right behind the Leeds boys tomorrow and I’ll cheering on @AFCWimbledon to stay up, ” wrote Jones on his verified Twitter account.
“Well that escalated quickly. Everyone take a deep breath it’s only a tweet.”

Jones quickly tried to calm down the Leeds fans who overreacted to him wishing the Blades the best, as he must have ended up regretting his celebratory tweet. It was so silly that some Whites supporters got upset by Jones wishing Sheffield United well, as he did play for the Blades as well during his career. Jones was more than entitled to send his best to one of his former clubs and it’s absurd that some treated it like he was snubbing Leeds. However maybe mood around Elland Road is simply at an all-time low now they look likely to be going into the Championship play-offs rather than automatically getting promoted, and they just wanted to overreact in order to take their mind off that scenario. Yet then again Leeds fans should be confident that their team can win the play-offs, momentum has not been on their side lately; but they have a quality squad more than capable of winning them.
