Samuel Saiz does not have a future at Leeds United even if his loan spell with Getafe does not become permanent, according to Football Insider.

The reputable football site reports that there is no future for the 28-year-old at Elland Road even if the La Liga side decide not to take the midfielder on permanently.

The report states that the Whites and their recruitment chief Victor Orta are confident that they can seek out a Spanish club willing to swoop for the player, but it is not known whether they will be able to receive double the £3 million they paid for him in 2017.

OPINION

Leeds let Saiz go in mid season as they were concerned that his attitude may have affected their promotion charge, so it is no surprise that he has no future at the club – even if Getafe do not want to take him on permanently. The likelihood of them wanting to do that is very slim, especially as he has not seen a minute of action since February 9. They would be wasting their time signing Saiz, so it may be the case that Leeds have to find another club willing to buy him. It remains to be seen just how difficult this task could be, particularly as he has not played much since he made the move to Spain. Either way, an exit looks to be firmly on the cards for Saiz this summer, as there is no way that Leeds would want to keep him after his attitude problems. Besides, they have done well enough without him there – so he will not be much of a loss.
