Leeds United central midfielder Ouasim Bouy is set to be one of the first senior players to be binned this summer, according to Football Insider.

The reputable football website reports that the Whites are optimistic that they can find a club who wants to sign the 25-year-old on a permanent basis, after trying to offload him in the past three transfer windows.

The player – who is currently on loan at Dutch outfit PEC Zwolle – has never made a senior appearance for Leeds since joining as a free agent in 2017, but he has made 15 appearances in the Eredivisie so far.

Good move for Leeds?

Yes, this would absolutely be a good move for the Whites. Bouy has never made a senior appearance for the team, so why on earth would they want to keep him? He is obviously proving hard to sell considering that they have tried to get rid of him in the last three windows, but the fact that Leeds are optimistic is a good sign. They obviously hope that his decent form for his loan club will convince them to turn his temporary deal into a permanent one.

Likely to happen?

The report says that Leeds are hopeful that he is going to leave, so the likelihood of that actually happening is actually very high. However, they need to find a club who is willing to take him on permanently. Seeing as the attempts to do so have failed in the last three windows, it remains to be seen whether Leeds will be successful in their attempt this summer. Hopefully they will be, as his signing has been absolutely pointless.
