COMMENTARY
Sheffield United defeated Brentford 2-0 on Tuesday despite having to play over 60 minutes with just 10-men after Gary Madine was sent-off. It was a battle for the Blades to get the important victory over the line and several players stepped up to the plate. The Bees piled the pressure on but they just couldn’t find a break through and this was mainly down to the fact Sheffield United goalkeeper Dean Henderson was in top form. Given that the 22-year-old shot-stopper was superb against Brentford, it was no surprise that many Sheffield United supporters were left convinced that he deserved the Man of the Match award. The Blades’ official Twitter account asked fans for their MOTM nomination just before the clash with Brentford ended, and several responded by tweeting the shot-stopper’s name. Henderson has proven his worth all season and if the Blades are to win promotion from the Championship, he no doubt deserves a lot of credit for the role he has played.
