When Celtic’s Oliver Burke joined the Parkhead outfit on loan from West Brom in the winter window, he would have no doubt been hoping to play regularly in a bid to impress Darren Moore ahead of next season.

While he has found game time easy to come by at the Hoops, with a regular place in the squad under Brendan Rodgers and then Neil Lennon, it matters not one bit if he managed to catch Moore’s eye – the senior figure axed from his role in the Hawthorns dugout last week.

That is a decision that will have a huge impact on Burke’s future at the club and the player himself must be sweating over just what is going to happen to him.

While Moore knew what the 6’2″ (source: Transfermarkt) star offered – obviously not enough judging by his lack of minutes – a new manager could bring a new lease of life for the forward, or continue to leave him out of the side.

What is not going in the attacker’s favour is the fact he is not at the club right now and therefore unable to prove his worth in person before the end of the season – giving others the opportunity to rise above him in the pecking order before he heads back to the midlands.

It cannot be an easy situation for the 21-year-old and all he can do is play out of his skin at Parkhead to try and get the attention of whoever does take charge – either way, the decision on Moore’s replacement impacts Burke’s future as much as the Baggies’.
