Steven Gerrard has got another big job on his hands this summer. His first season in charge at Ibrox promised a lot but ultimately didn’t deliver and he’s facing the very real prospect of finishing the season without a trophy after crashing out of the Scottish Cup to Aberdeen.

It’s not easy finding quality players who are willing to head north of the border – especially ones that Rangers could afford.

And, whole many Rangers fans don’t like relying on loan players, it’s a good option for raiding the top Premier League sides.

Ryan Kent has been one of the success stories of this season and he’s proof that good loan deals can work well for Rangers.

Izzy Brown, reportedly on £2k-a-week at Chelsea and currently on loan at Leeds, could be the next Premier League player to make an impact at Ibrox.

He’s had a terrible time at Leeds this season. He arrived injured, suffered another setback in December and is now fit but unable to force his way into an established Leeds side.

He’ll be desperate to prove himself next season and we can’t think of a better stage for him to prove himself than at Ibrox under Gerrard.

Before his serious injury Brown, who can play through the middle or on either wing, was turning heads with the Chelsea Under-23s and then on successful loan moves with Huddersfield and Brighton.

He’s been scoring for fun with the Leeds Under-23 side and at 22-years-old he’s ready to prove that he can still be an elite player at the very highest level.

Mark Allen should make him his top target for the summer.
