Tottenham could strike gold by following through on their reported pursuit of AC Milan forward Patrick Cutrone as he would boost the club’s firepower.

According to Tuttomercatoweb Spurs have been enquired about the 21-year-old attacker in recent months and the Italian club could part company with their player if an offer between 30-35 million euros is tabled (£25.8million to £30million).

It could be a fantastic move by Spurs if they snapped up the services as Cutrone as he ticks a lot of boxes.

The 21-year-old, who has scored nine goals and assisted two in his 32 outings this season,  has a respectable amount of pace and is clinical due to being very composed in front of goal.

The forward has also got a lot of appearances under his belt for someone his age as he has appeared 54 times in Serie A for AC Milan and has experienced the Europa League.

Given that he is ready to make an impact now for Spurs if recruited as well as being an age where he is destined to get better, then it would be a wise move to snap him up.

Cutrone would be the ideal cover for Harry Kane and he would likely learn from him as well, as well as benefit from working with Mauricio Pochettino whose reputation continues to grow.

When Spurs were without Kane to call upon, even though Fernando Llorente improved with each appearance, it was clear that the club would benefit from another top-class centre-forward to call upon.

This all means that a move for Cutrone could help Spurs achieve success next season and when you consider he may only cost £30million, he’d be a very worthwhile investment.
